Kellie Martin is she is an American actor and director of films, is best known for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Also, Kellie is well-known for playing the lead role for The Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin was the daughter of a department-store purchaser and kindergarten teacher started her career as an actress at age seven when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin land a role in 1981's series "Father Murphy". She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major parts in both the television as well as the film industry. Martin as well as acting, she is also an accomplished photographer and dancer. Since she is a mother of two children, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about the disease since her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
