American actor and musician Awkwafina was the first to debut her sly songs that dealt with the issue of sexuality and race with comical wit before increasing her appeal to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came from the trumpet. She also received Jazz and classical training before exploring hip-hop in her teenager. At college, she was studying the field of women's studies and journalism. It was also during this time that she spent a short time studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. Her track My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in the year 2012. The track was later included in her album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Other hits on the internet that were viral include queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchehome tour, which cost $. The latter track was linked with another Awkwafina project NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she began looking for a third endeavor actor. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
